Conference Summary: This Workshop will be the fifth in a series that began in 2006, and is jointly organized by Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories. IWEM has grown into a recognized forum for scientific discussions and interactions among theorists and experimentalists, both at the senior and junior levels, working in the broad field of metamaterials.
The focus of this Workshop will be enhanced nonlinearities, tunability, and emergent novel metamaterials (electromagnetic, acoustic, etc.). The program will be mainly consisting of invited speakers, contributed talks, and a poster session.
