A. Industrial Affiliate Membership Terms

CMIP Industrial Affiliate
Annual Fee: $10,000 gift contribution in cash
(Note - companies with 15 employees or less will be given the option of $5,000 gift contribution in cash + $5,000 gift contribution in kind)

B. Membership Benefits

Industrial Affiliate Website
Industrial Affiliates have access to a membership-only section of the CMIP website, which contains a listing of ongoing research projects with abstracts. This list is updated monthly.

CMIP Publications
Industrial Affiliates have access to all published dissertations, journal articles and conference papers by CMIP faculty and students. Industrial Affiliates may also elect to receive these materials by email as they become available.

Company Inspired Research
Industrial Affiliates are invited to meet and interact with CMIP faculty to discuss their own specific interests. CMIP staff will assist with scheduling and organizing the visit. Such meetings often serve as a prelude to the development of Sponsored Research Agreements between the Industrial Affiliate and one or more CMIP faculty.

CMIP Seminars
Throughout the year, CMIP will sponsor seminars (typically six) related to topics relevant to the Center. Industrial Affiliates will be notified and invited to attend such lectures and will be given the opportunity to schedule time with the speakers. Those Affiliates unable to attend the seminars will have access to podcasts all lectures.

Invitation to Annual CMIP Review
Industrial Affiliates will be invited to attend a review held at Duke, at least once a year, at which CMIP students, post-docs and faculty will discuss their research. In addition, several outside speakers, selected for their standing in the field, will also be invited to speak at this review.

Listing on the CMIP Affiliates Web Page
Industrial Affiliates have the option of a link from the CMIP Affiliates web site to their corporate web page.

Access to Latest CMIP Results
Industrial Affiliates will have access to the latest preprints and other reports from CMIP faculty, once those preprints have been approved for publication by any sponsoring agencies and with approval from the appropriate CMIP faculty member.

Notification of Intellectual Property Disclosures
Industrial Affiliates will receive updates regarding invention disclosures made by CMIP faculty and their students/staff, subject to approval by any sponsoring agencies. Industrial Affiliates will receive the invention title and abstract.
